Hey all. Many of you will remember from other boards as Maximus Buff. Others may know me from podcasts as William Gardner. They are both me and I am excited to welcome you to our new Buff Board on Buff Stampede. I hope you will come into this thread and say hello, introduce yourself and tell us when you first became a CU fan! Look forward to hearing from you!
And for me I became a CU fan when I first came to CU trying to play for the Buffs in 1983, which makes me an old guy.

I was on rivals when Adam first started. I followed him to 24/7 and now I’m here.
I’ve been following the Buffs since the late 70s and a season ticket holder since the Neuheisel days.
Hey, we are thrilled to have you join us here. It will be noted years from now that you were the first ever non-staff poster on our board. I think maybe we need to get you a t-shirt or something.
Seriously though, welcome aboard, let us know what you like and don’t like, and recruit us some more posters!

Fan since my freshman year at CU in 1989. Being fortunate enough to go to CU 89-93 was a formula to becoming the definition of “fanatic.” This year will be year 30 having season tix. Only took one year off Hawkins’ last season because I was pissed AD Bohn didn’t can his ass the year before. Renewed my tix the day they fired him. SkoBuffs!
Fan since 2006 when I became a student. Watched the Champs Sports Bowl vs Clemson and thought Brian White looked pretty good and that things would keep going and even get better… Then my first year going to games B Jack is the QB, and all downhill from there.
It would be awesome if we could get to a bowl game, AND WIN THE BOWL GAME, this season. Then retain Juju, assuming he has a good year, and Coach Marion, have some continuity and real tangible hope going from one season to the next.
I’m hoping everyone is underestimating Juju. He was the top ranked QB of the 2027 class. This should have been his first possible game action this season. Instead, he’s got some games under his belt, which should hopefully allow him how to come out of the gates swinging.

Hoping this gets some traction here. Been with Adam’s board since the early days.
Born and raised San Diego. Was all set to go to USC and follow my families legacy until the Buffs won the MNC my senior year in HS. Decided Boulder is where I would spend my college years because CU and the state of Colorado supported their football team. (haha)
Been on our boards since 2001 and with Adam from jump when he convinced me to stick around and help build his community vs. following AZ over to Scout. So happy I did, Adam was one of one.
Planning on hanging around both on3 and here. Looking like a wonderful collaboration!!

I’m a CU and Michigan sports bigamist (CU undergrad and Michigan grad school). Season tickets at Folsom have been in the family since the 1960s and I’ve been going to games since I was 5 years old and part of the old Ralphie Stampeders program.
I try to be as “down the fairway” as possible with my takes – and I’ve been criticized as not being much of a homer. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve watched the last 20 years of CU football. Still, you cut me open and you’ll see I bleed black and gold.
Anyway, nice to see a lot of familiar names over here. Go Buffs!

I’ve long since given up worrying about whether someone thinks I’m a homer or a sunshine pumper or whatever term they want to use. The bottom line is that I always tell it as honestly as I possibly can based on the information and how I see it. I’m sure you do as well. If you have a hundred people watch the same event you will get a hundred different takes on it. That’s just human nature. We all see things through our own lens and there’s no way not to, but that doesn’t make our view on things wrong. I try to base everything I say on evidence of some kind and in the end that’s all you can really do.

Grew up in west Denver. Seeing Kordell and Rashaan on ABC damn near every Saturday made me start to follow the Buffs, and when Denver native Chauncey took the Buffs to the tourney I was locked into Buffs fandom for life. First Buffs game I attended was my freshman year and I’ll never forget rushing the field after JJ Billingsley stuffed Marquisha Houston at the goal line! Been following recruiting and scanning the message boards since the class of ‘07.
So glad BuffStampede lives on. Looking forward to the community growing.
Was a pretty consistent board person from ‘08 thru ‘23. Stopped at the end of the ‘23 season and had not looked back until now. My respect for Adam and Liz drove me to create an account on the site. Season ticket holder for 33 years, that run ended at the end of last season. Daughter is a student athlete at another school this fall and her fall schedule is such that trips to Folsom are on the back burner for the next 5 years. Good news she attends a non FB D1 school and they don’t play CU in anything, unless it is the post season, so I won’t ever have a conflict. Congrats to Liz and the team on this venture and I think it goes back to the core of what the boards were designed to do when they first came out. Cheers
